    President Message

Dear PRSA Colorado members, volunteers and supporters,

As I’m sure you all are doing in your personal and professional lives, the PRSA Colorado Board of Directors is keeping a close eye on the events and impacts unfolding around the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) here in our state.

We are aware of the potential impacts to planned upcoming events and programming this spring, and at this point, feel it is too early to make any determination about a potential date change to both the upcoming April event as well as our annual Gold Pick awards dinner. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and look to advice from organizations within Colorado, including the Governor’s office as well as the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Should the need to change the date of such events arise, we will work to provide ample notice to all members and attendees, along with a clear plan for rescheduling. Our goal will be to notify of any changes to planned programs no later than one week in advance. Any paid registrations (note – this does not apply to award submission payments) for a monthly program or the Gold Pick event will be refunded if the event is cancelled or credited to the rescheduled date of the program or Gold Pick awards.

Additionally, we recognize that many of our members are impacted on a professional level, with clients weighing similar difficult decisions. PRSA Colorado’s Facebook group and LinkedIn group can be great resources for members to discuss this issue, ask advice or share key learnings as we all address this issue head on with our own clients and organizations. I also recommend this great article from PRSA National, penned by PRSA Chair T. Garland Stansell, regarding best practices for communicating during the Coronavirus outbreak.

We will continue to keep you updated as the situation evolves. Thank you for your understanding and support.Best,

    Geoff Renstrom,

    President 2020

(on behalf of the 2020 PRSA Colorado Board of Directors)
