    President's Message: March 2016

March is always a great month. Warmer weather, blooms all around and the end of a successful first quarter. Things are rolling along nicely for the chapter this year and I have a few updates to share.

    •          Professional Development: Our March 16 media roundtable was a success and we have additional professional development opportunities in the works. Our April 5 Networking and Newsjacking event combines professional development in a casual networking atmosphere, offering a connection opportunity after hours. There is still time to sign up for the Western District Conference from April 21-23. Join other PRSA Colorado representatives for some great sessions and networking with the District’s best. We pick back up with PRSA Colorado professional development in June. Our programs committee has been working on some great new topics and opportunities so stay tuned.
    •          Sponsorships/Partnerships: PRSA Colorado launched its new 2016 partnership packages. Join us for visibility throughout the chapter including the 2016 Gold Pick Awards, our professional development Summit in September and more. This is a great opportunity to connect with some of Colorado’s PR pros. Learn more and sign up today.
    •          Awards: In April, our Special Award winners will be announced, honoring deserving public relations’ individuals and teams in our region. On May 5, we honor the best public relations campaigns and components at our Gold Pick Awards Be sure to get your tickets soon to celebrate with us.

Stay connected with us through our website, sign up for our weekly e-newsletter, and join us on FacebookTwitter and LinkedIn to capitalize on your membership.

These are just a few things we have been working on for you, our members and potential members. Please feel free to reach out to me or any PRSA Colorado board member with any questions or ideas. And if you are ready to volunteer, please let us know. We have many opportunities for you to get more involved.
